Gall bladder surgery?

my friends mom had a gall blader surgery on july 22nd. she had it removed. today is the july the 28th and she is still hurting. hurting like just laying in bed crying type of thing. she has been watching what she has been eating and she hasnt seemed to have eaten anything to make herself worse. least not that me and my friend know of. is it normal for her to hurt this much after a week has gone by? thank you everyone who posted answers for this question, it means alot. any detail will help
