How to darken the maple neck on my strat?

I have a Jimmie Vaughan strat that has a rather light maple neck. I would like to darken it up to give it some more character. I would like an easy way to make it a little darker like a well used guitar. So far Ive had it for 4 years and its not getting much darker. Thanks for all the help in advance!
