Sinus infection blood in nasal phlegm?

Over the last few days, I've had a bad sinus infection. I've felt really bunged up. Just now, I tried Hocking back some phlegm through my nose to spit out my mouth and there was blood on the phlegm?? Is this normal? Thanks
